[OS X] networking and nfs automounting

I'm trying to remember how I got automatic turning on and off of my
NFS automounts under 10.3 (because I forgot to write it down and to
back it up). Part of the puzzle is fixed and will be written up
soon: you need to put automount maps in /private/etc, and use a
script, /Library/StartupItems/Automount/Automount, which looks a lot
like a Redhat /etc/init.d script.

I just found a web page that I vaguely remember reading when trying
to solve the automount-based-on-network issue, and in re-reading it I
realize that if is chock-full of vital info for OS X networking in
general:

This page reminded me that "Kicker" was the way to enable services
based on network location. More later.
