Hi Jian,

	As mentioned on the ferret page, you must install fink to use  
ferret.  See http://tazman.princeton.edu/osx and scroll down to the  
fink section.

	The /usr/X11R6/lib/libXmu.6.dylib file you mention is not part of  
fink; it belongs to the X11 software.  It may be that you installed  
an X11 SDK without installing the base X11 software, I don't know.   
If you can start X11 (it is kept in /Applications/Utilities), then  
you have installed the base X11 software.
