[OS X] octave with netcdf on a mac intel

Hello,
Does anybody managed to install octave with the netcdf toolbox  
(octcdf) on a intel mac with OS 10.4??
I'd like to know wether someone ever did it and how.

I have a problem when I run octave>pkg instal /mypath/octcdf.tar
it seems to be a problem with the netcdf version I have (I get it  
from fink, but is there another one for mac?)...

PS : otherwise if you have a working licence.dat for matlab 7.3 for  
student!!! (there is no way to buy it online when you live in africa...)
