Perl users,

If you have to do a lot of Perl programming (or especially if you're just trying to come up to speed using Perl on a Mac), my initial experience with Affrus has been quite positive. It has a very Mac-like interface, elegant debugging features, and presents the Mac OS X Perl framework very neatly. After struggling for a while with programming in Perl on my Mac (partly because I have both 5.8.6 and 5.8.8 versions installed), Affrus seems to offer a much more elegant environment. And it can gracefully handle multiple installed Perl environments, according to their tech support (the web site says 5.86 is required but isn't clear that later than 5.8.6 can be accommodated). A little pricey but worth it for me.

Also, tech support was pretty responsive on the one bug I encountered (non-ASCII characters in path names are Bad).
